"If you have the $$$ to spend and intend on racing both Tri's and Road Bikes This may be the Swiss Army Knife you need to do both. Attach some TT bars and race triathlons with the 53-11 gearing you can push High Watts and High MPH. The adjustability of the bars lets you put them where you need them. The seat post mast has it's downs but it is a solid design that actually incorporates some flexibility to add ride quality and comfort into the overall experience. "Thrash1

Several factors went into the deciding to purchase the Madone 5.2 Pro. Ease of overall maintenance was one of them.

OMG.. Trek's attention to detail on the USA made bikes is exemplary. Paint and decals are placed well and the paint was Glossy with Zero Defects.

Based on my last road bike a 56cm model seemed to fit the best. The Trek was no different. The Pro Geometry put the rider in a racer position and riding on the drops is comfortable and inspiring during fast descents.

The carbon layup on this bike lends itself to a minute amount of flex in the frame. This evens out the road bumps that on my previous Alum framed bike made my hands numbs..

The one drawback for adjust-ability sake is the seat post mast. This limits the use of other seatposts that may give you the option for micro adjustable seat positions or even a set forward position for TT/Tri specific positions.

Given Treks Reputation I don't expect to have durability issues.

Ok.. Bike was listed at $3700.00 but I got it $500 or so off list being a one year old model at the time of purchase. However. I'm glad I purchased this bike for my main race bike for both Triathlon and Road Race events. The Ultraga components seems to shift better than the more touted SRAM components on the more expensive model. So Yea. Money Well Spent.

Black with Silver and White accents. It looks fast just sitting on my Spin Doctor Bicycle Rack. The Bontrager Wheels are a piece of art work in themselves, Machined from solid alum with Bladed spokes they look the part and perform just as well.

Haven't had an issue yet so I'll reserve judgment until then.

Well.... Whats left. After fine tweeking the position of the seat and getting settled in. It rides awesome. I can attack hills and climbs in taller gearing than my old ride. Power transfer is instantaneous and every Watt you pedal goes into the ground. The cranks still need to clearance out so they spin free but that will happen just in time for racing season. It's been too cold to take it on my Arbuckle Pass climb, but based on my training Rides it should be perfect.

Trek.......... Based on Designs used by Pro Racers and Lance Armstrong. What else do you need?

Seat Post Mast. But Still not really a weakness. I'm nit picking. Stinking Bontrager Generic Seat... WOW do you think they could have put a better seat on a $3000+ bike?
