Swim
Comments: A pretty nice swim. The water was warm and I didn't drink that much water. What would you do differently?: I've got to learn how to swim better. At least I wasn't last out of the water! My navigation was way off. I keep out "the line" to let faster folks go by, but I was so wide. I probably swam an extra 50+ meters. I'm disappointed with that. Transition 1
Comments: This went pretty well. When you are so far behind out of the water it makes if easy to find your bike! What would you do differently?: Not much. I'm sure I could get more efficient at it, but I'm not really upset with the time. However, looking at the results of others, I could certainly drop at least a minute. Bike
Comments: I felt good on the bike. 19.7 is pretty good for me. I was only passed by 2 people on the bike course. What would you do differently?: I'm pretty happy with it give my general lack of time on the bike this year. Another area where I could get some improvement. Transition 2
Comments: Being so far behind in my age group made it hard to put the bike back in a full rack. That is what added to the time. Run
Comments: Running, my only saving grace. I was only passed by 3 people on the run course including a 15 year old girl. I would have liked to do sub-8's but I'm pretty happy with the time. What would you do differently?: Keep working on getting better. Post race
Warm down: Not much. Ate a banana and a sports drink. What limited your ability to perform faster: Um, I'm 43, short and have no athletic ability. Other than that, I'm fine. Probably, the lack of higher intensity training didn't help. Event comments: Maybe there was more to do when I was done, but I didn't see it. The parking is a mess. Last updated: 2010-05-14 12:00 AM

Got up about 5:15. At some toast with PB&J. Filled my water bottles.
Not much. Walked around a bit. Ate half a PowerBar and drank some water. I really had to go at the start of the swim, but then I never did. Go figure.
