  • Comments: Millennium Park has had some bad luck in the past weather wise and it was close again this year. However, the rain had went through and the temperature was perfect for a race. There were a ton of volunteers with post refreshments and food. It is a great organized local race with some high quality athletes and it is also friendly for the first time racers. I will be back next year!

  • Comments: This is very well organized and I really love the routes. Running around the lake is a nice change. Post-race food left a bit to be desired. I really like having the kids' race on the same day. Jesse raced and took 3rd place in his AG.

  • Comments: The Millennium triathlon is a well organized, fast race, with a reasonably deep field. It's good for beginners (short and tame course) and for experienced athletes (short, fast, and competitive). There was one problem during the kids race where a large portion of the younger age group missed their turn-around. It was well marked with cones and arrows, but there wasn't a person standing there. It was a matter of miscommunication and the race director felt horrible. He offered comp entries to all that missed the turn around, which he did not have to do. This is a solid race and worth doing.

  • Comments: For my first Tri. I was really pleased with my time and how the race went. Not really knowing what to expect I am happy and will continue to train to improve in all areas.

  • Comments: This is the first year of this race, and considering that, they did a great job. The course is great. I wish they had done waves by age and gender, as this helps with the flow of traffic, particularly on the bike. As it was, you couldn't tell if someone in your AG had started with you, ahead of you, or behind you. For the kids race, they really need to have separate awards categories for girls and boys, as the girls didn't get ANY awards. I'm sure they'll get an earful about that, though.
