Run
Comments: Took the first mile to get clear of bookoo runners. What would you do differently?: try and start closer to the front Post race
Warm down: water, sweet bread and a banana. What limited your ability to perform faster: too many people 22,000+, started too far from the front. Event comments: I knew the first couple miles would be very crowded, slow pace, so my goal was to keep in the 8+/min per mile range, finish under 70 min. Lot's of gas left at the end, believe I could have finished under an hour if I'd started closer to the front, been faster the first couple of miles.the 1:04:35 time was off my watch from crossing the start and finish line mats. Haven't seen the official results yet. UPDATED. official results 1:04:32, placed 608 out of 22,330. The top 300 runners were under one hour. Male 523 out of 8834, M40-44 76 out of 1032. 19,861 finishers out of 22,330 chipped runners. Additioaanl 4800 military and 1336 non chipped runners. Last updated: 2006-01-18 12:00 AM

So, I wasn't able to hook up with them.
