Comments: I swam WAAAAY out of where I needed to be on the way out. I think this might be why the swim was further than it was meant to be, I was WAAAY out to the right and had to come back. Once I got around the first buoy and on my way back, I found my rhythm no worries. It was a fast swim. What would you do differently?: Start closer to the buoys instead of following other shy people. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: I tried my new Tri-Clips for getting my shoes on, and THEY WERE FANTASTIC!!! NO stuffing around to get my feet into my shoes and stuff, just awesome. Will be using them all the time from now on. What would you do differently?: Maybe remember the row my bike is in when I leave transition. Lol. ![]() Bike
Comments: I felt like I was low level flying today. It was fantastic. The good thing is, the time matches, so I am just getting faster on the bike. Whooo hoo!! What would you do differently?: Not a lot. I used the old bike still, so TT will make an appearance for more speed next season :) ![]() Transition 2
Comments: I went without socks for the first time ever today, good move. The new shoes are just awesome. I also hate the fact that I have to run so far in transition with the bike. Seriously, I am over running. What would you do differently?: Nothing I could do differently!! ![]() Run
Comments: Well, it was faster than the last race, and that's all that matters, right? I'll get there :) What would you do differently?: Well, not a lot. I was ok. New shoes, still kind of injured. Looks like I might have some damage to my knee (from the ankle injury in Geelong) so I guess if it's still sore Tuesday, I'll get it checked out. Warm down: Just walking around. Caught up with Laura, and watched Coach Geordie get third in his age. Whoo hoo!! What limited your ability to perform faster: Well, let's be clear here, I did a better time this week than I did in the last 500/20/5. I can't ask for more than that! The two people behind me actually finished this race, so I was not last!!!! Event comments: There could have been a drink station between 1km and 3.5km. Normally they have them every 1km, so I expected one there, but didn't. Otherwise, I would have had more at the 1km station! Last updated: 2010-09-09 12:00 AM

I had a bad day yesterday after a ride and a swim, so I had cous cous for dinner. Hardly an appropriate meal, but it did the trick.
I packed the bike up (after sleeping in the spare room) and picked up Lisa, then Anna and Tim, even though Anna wasn't racing.
We stopped at Maccas for breaky, even though I didn't need the food, I wanted coffee... I think that really helped my performance today!!
Swim. It wasn't as cold as I expected!!
