Swim
Comments: I got caught up in all sorts of congestion at the start of the swim. It was horrible. Caused me to panic. breast stroke, back stroke. Finally I said, knock it off. I nearly went to the kayak and said screw it. But I decided to gut it out and just swim. What would you do differently?: I don't know. I got in the water and warmed up. I felt good in the water for that. Who knows why this shit happens to me? Once I started swimming though, I was doing just fine. Transition 1
Comments: Who knows what my time really was. The timing system was broken and we all got 2 mins. I think I was slow in T1.. What would you do differently?: HTFU Bike
What would you do differently?: I hammered the bike. Rode like I stole my bike! I will only get better the more I work the bike. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: keep shoes on bike and come out of shoes while still on bike. Run
Comments: My legs were toast from the bike. I just hung on for dear life. I walked through the water stop and walked with Gary for a few seconds, then I ran it in. Post race
Warm down: None. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing. It is what it is. Every race is a unique experience- I gave it my all and that is all I can ask. Event comments: The timing issue stunk. I wish I would have put my Garmin on. Oh well. I had my stop watch and my powertap so I was able to figure out what my times were. What's listed here is what was on the website. As usual, great race, great friends at race. Always enjoy doing it. Last updated: 2011-01-05 12:00 AM
