Run
Comments: It was great, my first 1/2 and I wanted to break 2;30, took me three minutes to get to the start line (3000 runners full and half had the same route/start line), but they gace you official time (mine was 2;28) and chip adjusted time which was 2:25 What would you do differently?: Maybe train more....nahh, my longest run to date had been 9 miles and I walked a lot Post race
Warm down: walked to the food/beer tents, took a pic and walked back to my vehicle What limited your ability to perform faster: Genetics, laziness, too many wings....I decided to start slow and once I got to the 10 mile mark to ramp it up if I felt good, got to 10 mile mark in 1:58, so I ran 10 min miles for the last three.... Event comments: This would be a good race for your first one, and if you wanted to do a fast one, it worked good for me, I had been doing a lot of longer miles on the run and bike during the winter. They have a century the next day starting from the same place and I did it as well,,,,and it was cheap like 25.00. The race expo was excellent as well. Last updated: 2006-03-11 12:00 AM
