  • Comments: Next year this event is moving to the first weekend in March and the start/finish area is moving to the Myrtle Beach Sports Center which is currently under construction and will be located adjacent the convention center a little less than a mile away.

  • Comments: The course would have been very easy,flat. The event coordinators still held the post race party at the House of Blues, which I thought was nice.

  • Comments: The sloped road grade on Kings Highway caused a lot of leg/knee pain in several people I spoke with. I'm freakin sore now!

  • Comments: The expo pickup was disorganized - lines moving too slow. The expo itself small...Race day - no corrals for separating runners by ability (although I liked the smaller crowd - not so much running in a pack feel): no one calling out pace times along the route: great music on route: cool medal but no finisher shirt for 1/2 mary people. :(

  • Comments: This race is the first BIG run I have done. The Cannonball Half in Greensboro is not this big. What support! At times I thought there were more volunteers than runners. It would be really hard to find fault with the support of this race. If I could change anything it would be to have the race 1 month later to help with the training.

  • Comments: I thought it was a great race. I loved having all the volunteers and fans cheering the runners on. I give them alot of credit, because it was cold out there.

  • Comments: having the miles marked wrong on the course was a real downer to the race. it didn't bother me as much because i had my watch and can gauge my pace pretty well, but for the two newbie friends of mine that were running it for the first time, it definitely messed them up mentally to have the first 3 miles be way off.

  • Comments: This would be a good race for your first one, and if you wanted to do a fast one, it worked good for me, I had been doing a lot of longer miles on the run and bike during the winter. They have a century the next day starting from the same place and I did it as well,,,,and it was cheap like 25.00. The race expo was excellent as well.

  • Comments: Well done race that I plan to do again next year - perhaps as a marathon. Very impressed with the well though out and supported organization. The only complaint is that the course is bit crowded at times when it narrow downs to one lane ... a little too much juking and jiving, especially when folks are running 3-4 abreast.

  • Comments: I did not like the expo. It was out-of-control!! And the shirts were ugly!! I also missed a couple of mile markers. I do not know if that was due to me not paying attention that well or some of them not being visible enough.
