Swim
Comments: I need to work on swimming straighter. I was hoping to actually beat 30 min for once in an Olympic. Picked on buoy for sighting that happenend to be the farthest right and swam to the right of it and had to make my way back to the bouy line. What would you do differently?: Work on swimming straight in open water Transition 1
Comments: I was racked at the front and took a slower run over the long haul to transition. Also I cut the side of my foot on a sprinkler head on Friday so I took the time to put socks on and this slowed down the transition. This is a guess since my bike time is included in the results Bike
Comments: Goal was to keep it at 230 watts which is my threshold. I need to check my garmin and see what I actually averaged. Transition 2
Comments: Shoe came unclipped when I jumped off. had to stop and take a step back to get it and apologize to the people behind me. Run
Comments: With training for Ironman Texas I wasn't sure how this would go. I had a 17 miler on Friday and rode 40 miles on Saturday with my wife on the Galveston course as her last prep ride for the 70.3. I was hoping to avg a sub 8 but legs got really tired around mile 4. Overall a good run though. Post race
Warm down: Got some food and water and hung around and talked to some pro's. Every professional I talked to was awesome. My wife told me it is now time to quit racing clydes (still about 205) and got a question in transition if I was still a clyde after racing. Last updated: 2011-04-04 12:00 AM
