Comments:

This is a really pretty lake. Clear water. There were places that the grass grew almost to the surface. Shaking grass of my fingers as I swim, not so bad...grass across my face as I swim, yuck!

This was twice the distance of my previous swim events. It seemed like I was in the water for a looong time. That said, I took it easy, weathered the start and never felt too uncomfortable.
What would you do differently?:

Start swimming earlier in the year.

Not sure what took so long here. I Don't remember struggling with anything. Not sure that I care - I survived the swim and found my bike; that's the goal.

I really like this course. One tough hill, lots of rolling hills. Very pretty scenery. Passed a few folks.
What would you do differently?:

For the most part, I really enjoyed the ride. The last 3rd started to seem long but I kept a decent pace. I think I need to add some additional distance to my training.

Walked my bike in and let the legs recover a little. Not a speed demon here either but I'm not going to sweat it.

When you're running ~11 minute miles, it's not the extra minute in T2 that hurts.
