Swim
Comments: Not in great swimming shape, was just happy to get through it. First leg was pretty good water, second leg was much choppier, a bit of the usual people dodging and I didn't sight that great. What would you do differently?: Better sighting, maybe push and get on some better feet to clear the mid packers. Transition 1
Comments: Fumbled with my helmet strap and shoes... 10-15 seconds, but a good transition. Best in my AG and 16th overall. What would you do differently?: I've got a chin strap flap that gets in the way when trying to buckle my strap.... may remove it or figure a way to tie it up so it isn't flapping in the way when trying to buckle helmet. Otherwise, put my shoes on smoother. Bike
Comments: Not a bad ride, capable of better on a course like this. What would you do differently?: I'm falling off of my bike riding, know how to fix though. Transition 2
Comments: 1st in my AG and 23rd overall.. not bad. What would you do differently?: Hustle up a little, my steering head on my bike makes it hard to push my bike like I need to.. need to get it looked at. Run
Comments: Disappointing, but happy at the same time. Rebuilding from knee injury still and getting better I guess. What would you do differently?: Run faster... Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Swim really put me behind.. run can be better too. Event comments: Loved this race course, will have to put it on my list or races for sure next year. Looking forward to improving my time here! Last updated: 2012-07-06 12:00 AM

Wow... got to the race site way early... 5:15 or so and packet pickup wasn't even open. Got great parking, plenty of time to set up transition, figure out Bike In/Out, Run Out, finish, etc. This is a change for me.. a welcome change.
Swam a little bit in the Potomac... brackish water, water was warm. Swam 150 yards or so.
