  • Comments: I like Kinetic Multisport events, but Colonial Beach is not one I'm going to do again. If I'm going to drive all that way, I want an actual flat course like at Rock Hall. While I don't mind a course being open to traffic, there were not enough volunteers or police to deal with the crashes and ensuing traffic jams that happened this day. I believe the Colonial Beach residents like having the race come to town, but can't say the same for the surrounding towns that the bike course hits.

  • Comments: A great time, and a great learning experience. This was an hour from home and very well run, race. I will be doing this every year.

  • Comments: I dropped my chip coming out of the water so the times are my watch times for the event. I PR'd on the bike and on foot, so it was a great race for me. But I have this nagging feeling: can I do more? We'll see where I am after Lake Lure.

  • Comments: SetupEvents run a great race. Great location for the race. It was hot, but its July. Run course was super flat. Bike course was mostly flat, one 2% hill. Had a great time. Location is secluded, so if you plan on doing this race, look into hotels early.

  • Comments: If I had a room at the Beach Inn, I'd do this race again in a heartbeat. The bike and run course are made for redlining. I wish I had been in better shape. Losing the first four weeks after Salem was not helpful. Still, I had a great bike. One of these days, I'll put it all together at a race.

  • Comments: Setupevents did a pretty good job with this race and had plenty of refreshments afterwards. Although the transition area was a bit far away from the bike mount/dismount line.

  • Comments: I really like this venue and area. I hope to be back. It's a great course in a kind of overlooked part of this region. Nice roads, nice views, good swim course. Good stuff.

  • Comments: I was a little concerned about the new transition area and amount of area we had to travel over the gravel road, but it turned out really well. I felt I raced pretty well last year and was very pleased to have dropped almost five minutes this year!

  • Comments: Fun race, pretty small. everything was close together so no having to run all over the place. There were quite a few spectators out which was great for such a small race. Quite a few families out in their front yard cheering people on during the run. Swim was pretty murky, not sure if it was the rain the night before or not but everyone came out of the water dirty. Pizza, Chips, Bananna's, water, sodas, cookies and some other stuff after the race in a nice Air Conditioned building. Pretty good race for 70 bucks. If there are no jellyfish next year I will definitely be back. Schwag, Cotton t-shirt, water bottle, bunch of stuff in the bag.

  • Comments: This is a great new addition to Colonial Beach's triathlon weekend. The course is great with plenty of volunteers. Tons of pizza and beer at the finish line. Age group prizes were beach towels, pretty nice.
