Pre-race routine:

First triathlon, sleep the night before didn't go perfect. Got up at 0500 and at event by 0545. Bagel, banana, gatorade.

Organizers didn't have chips for anyone over bib #400 or something. Weak, but whatever.

Went very well, grabbed all my Gu and food for the bike with no issue. Mounted and go going with little effort. Duathlons have helped this!

It rained alot. Course was wet which caused me to play it safe. Overall, happy with my effort. i liked the course, police at turns was great and volunteers at aid spots were great!

My runs are bad. Need to work on that. I took in cola and heed at every or every other station I could. Ate Gu's every 35 minutes as my nutrition plan was set for. No issues there, just not a great runner.

Warm down:

Fall down in grass with family. Strech. Pizza.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor runs and injury to my left calf 1 month earlier. Forced me to take time off during my build phase. That hurt me, but I managed.

Event comments:

Entered in the Novice Category and won for first timers! Prize was a wine glass and bottle of local wine.
