Comments: Got tired and drafted for a while. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Ran for a 5 minutes, knee blew out. Walked for 10 minutes. Got inspired and ran like my life depended on it. Knee blew out again. Walked for a minute. Then ran like hell for the last 10 minutes. Post race
Event comments: Thank God for the bike specialists from the local shops. Without their help, I couldn't have done it! Last updated: 2007-08-14 12:00 AM

Mountains are a great place to train in-especially when training for a tri at sea level. My partner and I began training in early August of 2006 and balanced our routine between pools, lakes, roads, trails, strength, yoga, indoor, and outdoor training.
Banana, jitters, changing flat tire with 8 minutes til the first wave. I had to sprint to get to the starting line in my wetsuit and was actually the first person in the water that morning because I got to the line just as the gun went off and kept on running.
