Pre-race routine:

woke up, drove to race site, ate half of my breakfast, was missing stuff to make normal pre-race breakfast so substitued cottage cheese with yogurt. got body marked, set up transition

good swim. was a little nervous about the jellyfish sightings they were complaining about but I didn't see a single one. actually drafted a little more than usual which worked well for me.

run up to transition was up a paved path. probably 150 yards but the hill was steep. good transition.

pushed hard on the bike. felt it in my legs but not too much that i felt like i would ruin my run. legs were a little sore but not tired or tight like yesterday

running with bike was only average as there was a downhill that you dismounted on and then had to run down another. wanted to make sure not to crash like a lot of others did.

hot. needed more fluids. started to cramp on the last part of the run, around the last 1/4mile. felt like i pushed well. kept it strong
What would you do differently?:

only thing i may have done was to bring my hand held fuel belt fluid carrier on the run as there was only one water station at the turnaround.

went to eat, change my clothes and pack up.then got my award!
