  • Comments: Excellent sprint distance race. Well organized. Bike racks were just right - almost too tight. Second time racing this event and will do it again. Lots of neighbors cheering us on during the run.

  • Comments: Race was very well done by HMF as usual. I do many of their running events each year and didn't expect anything less. Weather was great, no jelly fish in the water! Didn't like finishing on the beach

  • Comments: Niantic bay is a popular race. I can see why. Great location, well organized, etc. i am def doing it again. I am going to start praying now for better water conditions. Hopefully by this time next year, I won;t have to worry so much about the swim.

  • Comments: Excellent preparation, everything went extremely smoothly from check-in to finish line. My only gripe is on the bike section from dismount going in to T2. The downhill run is simply not very friendly, but in the end we all ran the same course. Can't wait for this one next year.

  • Comments: 2nd HMF race I've done in the last few weeks and similar to previous I really enjoyed this race. Good organization, packet pickup easy (went day before to Niantic). I tried registering too late and was on wait list. Learned the Wednesday before that I was in. Not a big fan of beach finishes but fortunately time of day and tide meant a lot of hardpack sand so not too bad. First time I've done this race and now regretting not having done it in years past. I need to take more advantage of these local races in my back yard.

  • Comments: This is a really fun local race. I do wish they would get the distances correct though! Run is actually 3.2 miles and the bike is 11.3, so don't be too impressed with my splits up there, because they ain't real!

  • Comments: It is nice to see the little tweaks this year with the reversed swim course and the relocation of the post-race pinic and awards up on the grass and in the shade. The t-shirt this year is a terrible neon green with orange and blue graphics. It is an unfortunate departure from the usually attractive shirts they give at this race.
