Comments: So I went out on the Boardwalk and started my run. I heard a rumbling in my stomach and started to walk then beant over with my hands on my knees. Then I heard Sue shout some encouraging words, something like "You can do it, Kevin." That was the point at which my stomach took control. I started throwing up (Projectile of Course I don't do anything half-assed). The noise was kind of loud I think I heard Sue utter a "eeeeughwww." I went for three short jogs followed by similar results. I then jogged to the end of the Boardwalk and back and was feeling ok until I started running on the grass. I started to see stars and feel woosey. It was at the point that the run got back on the road and started to head away from transtition that I decided it was time to DFL myself... Post race
Warm down: Can you call drinking Amino vital, water and hoping to keep that down a warm down? I guess. What limited your ability to perform faster: The projectile vomiting did kind of impede my speed. Event comments: I was not prepared for this race, too sick and I booted during the race... Drove down, got the first parking spot. I set up Transition and actually photographed it... Mary was close to my spot, I loaned out my pump to her and a few other people in need of air.
Helped Anita find her cell which she had lost in the trek from her car to transition. She was carrying about 5 other people's packets and inadvertantly dropped the phone in it's resting place in her car.
Walking around, visiting bathrooms about 4 times.
