Swim
Comments: Passing people sucks. I can do so much better than that time, I passed a ton of people which wasted time. I look forward to OWS. What would you do differently?: OWS Transition 1
Comments: Practice this more... I did ok, but... eh. Bike
Comments: Could/should have pushed more early on and downhills. Wasted some downhills that should have been well into the 30 range. Transition 2
Comments: Practice... no need to drink here for this course, knew that... didn't pay attention. Run
Comments: I was happy with this run, didn't know what to expect, hard to simulate race conditions. What would you do differently?: Drink more on the bike, had a cramp going into this run. Other than that, nothing. Post race
Warm down: Stretch and watch wife come around last turn and run with her to finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: First tri ever, I'm happy with every time except T2 (and to some extent T1). I know I can swim faster w/o a pool swim and was proud of my bike and run. Event comments: This was a fun race, very well staffed and planned. I said not enough drink stations, but that's just me, I drink A LOT. I cramp on a 5k without 2 or 3 drinks, I sweat like a machine. Normal people are probably happy with the aid stations on this race. Last updated: 2009-04-04 12:00 AM

Race was 10am. I woke up around 6:45am ate a bowl of oatmeal, glass of chocolate soymilk and packed an apple and a powerbar. We arrived around 8:30am, set up transition, met the people in our rack (was racing with my wife who was right next to me).
Stretched.
