  • Comments: This was a good race to break my long 4 year drought. Unfortunately the weather made it very cold, wet and miserable. But I was content with my performance considering and am happy to be "back in the saddle".

  • Comments: Great local race for first timers or relay participants. Folks at the host YMCA are super friendly despite the onslaught of hundreds of athletes on their tiny facility.

  • Comments: For a first timer this was a great race. Lots of volunteers, run efficiently, on time and support available if needed. I had a great time and will do this race again next year.

  • Comments: Because of early swim start I finished race with people sill coming out of swim. Food was almost warm this year. Watch my age group ranking drop from 2/2 when finished to 5/5 when I left and ended up 11/12.

  • Comments: I'm saying "not organized" and "not enough volunteers" because before the race everything was chaos. I couldn't find packet pickup. They didn't have women's fit shirts. I couldn't find body marking and timing chips. Usually setup has these great huge flags so you can find things. The barbecue was AWESOME. And the people I met were great.

  • Comments: Couple of observations, I put a swim time of 2:06/100y, but they decided to leave 15 sec. between each swimmer which meant the event started at 10am but my swim start was 11:48, nearly two hours of waiting around which wasn't ideal. Probably made for less congestion in the pool but I hate the waiting to start, also meant I suddenly had to think about eating again before starting as too much time had passed since breakfast. I like the bike course on this race, but the bike out is a little winding and I saw many racers have difficulty mounting as they are trying to mount and navigate a quick turn at the same time. Many close calls with the faster racers. Bike out/in is very close together and there was a chance for head on collision if the racers weren't careful. For those who care, they award finisher medals for this event which was nice as you don't see that in sprint level tris very often. BBQ lunch at the end was good.   • Comments: Super organization, great to have it at 10am also, which makes it accessible for a drive down from DC area. Food was amazing, other Tris please take note!

  • Comments: Set-Up events put on a great race. It was extremely well organized and the course was well marked. I think my favorite part was that it's a race with flushing toilets...no porta-potties!!!! This race is definitely on my list for the future!!

  • Comments: Setup Events started their season off very well. The race was organized and I wish them a successful year. My only concern was mystery man in T2, he wasn't dressed to race and shouldn't have been there.

  • Comments: The event was well run as usual by Setup. Everything was clearly marked, volunteers were helpful and had no complaints. Knocking off several minutes off last year's time make the race even sweeter.
