Event warmup:

None for a sprint.
Swim
  • 09m 23s
  • 437 yards
  • 02m 09s / 100 yards
Comments:

Not a bad swim for me. Felt ok and my breathing was good.
What would you do differently?:

Not much.
Transition 1
  • 02m 12s
Comments:

Long run from swim exit to rack. I was in 2nd section of bikes. Washed sand off of my feet, drank some water, splashed my face to get salt off.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Bike
  • 28m 50s
  • 11 miles
  • 22.89 mile/hr
Comments:

Roads were rough, with lots of cracks, potholes, and crumbled black top. I had ridden the course the night before, so I knew where I was going, but it was poorly marked. They used blue tape to show directions, which doesnt show up until you are right on top of them.
What would you do differently?:

I thought I could ride a little faster, but I am happy with my ride.
Transition 2
  • 03m 26s
Comments:

???? Didnt think my time was this slow, in fact I thought I was out as fast ast T1, but who knows.
Run
  • 35m 2s
  • 4 miles
  • 08m 46s  min/mile
Comments:

I was able to run the first 2.5 miles before my knee gave in, so I race wlaked and ran the last 1.5 miles.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Post race
Warm down:

Grabbed some water bottles, drank and poured over my head. Finish line was filled with spectators! very nice to be cheered on!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Just my knee!

Event comments:

I thought this race could have been better organized. We could not hear the pre-race announcements, there was no security for transition, and the organizers were not friendly. They closed packet pickup early friday night! The volunteers were great! I cant say enough about them!
