Swim
Comments: Was last out of the water for the masters clydes. Made a strategy error putting myself in the thick of things with the shortest tangent. Never got into a rhtyhm, and was never able to get my face in the water for more than 6 strokes. What would you do differently?: SHould've waited or went outside/inside and worked back so to get a rhythm. SHould've warmed up more in the water. Transition 1
Comments: Tried the bucket to counteract the dizziness and that helped but still wobbled a bit. Bike shoes without socks helped. What would you do differently?: Perhaps try some ear plugs in training? Bike
Comments: This was my strength. Even with a couple obstacles (see below), I rocked it. I did take a few breathers during but probably could've pushed through them better. What would you do differently?: Be careful not to get stuck behind 1. cars coming out of the park at the start (arseholes!) and 2. the wheel chair guy passing on the left. DO NOT LET UP AT ALL THE WHOLE SPRINT BIKE. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty solid transition. No socks helped. What would you do differently?: Make sure race bib is on good because I nearly ripped it off my belt Look into changing shoes on bike. Run
Comments: Wore myself out again on the bike and that took a toll on my run time, but 2035 on little to no run training is pretty solid for a somewhat challenging course and weather profile. What would you do differently?: Train more on hills and get this ITBS under control so I can get back into the low 19's and high 18s. Post race
Warm down: .5 mile run right after then 30 minute TeamEC spin What limited your ability to perform faster: Lousy swim segment due to bad strategy and limited experience in mass starts. Also, not being able to train more running wise due to ITBS. Event comments: Highlights were meeting alltom1 and hanging with my TeamEC. Also wearing the new TeamEC kit was cool. Saw my first bike crash and it was nasty (during my warm down). Last updated: 2009-04-06 12:00 AM

Red bull 12 oz, 1 caffeine block and some PB cookies. Got set up quick. Was well packed and ready.
Ran 1.5 miles with the Marcs from Team EC. Would've liked to have time to swim but farted around getting new TeamEC kits.
