  • Comments: Highlights were meeting alltom1 and hanging with my TeamEC. Also wearing the new TeamEC kit was cool. Saw my first bike crash and it was nasty (during my warm down).

  • Comments: Other than a terrible swim, this was a great race for me. Was able to medal in my age group since 3 of the people ahead of me placed in overall or masters!

  • Comments: Tri in the Parks puts on a great race series. For this race they increased the number of water stations due to the heat and the volunteers at these races are always very energetic and supportive which helps out a lot. I really enjoyed doing this series and look forward to doing it agian next year. This race was my final tri for my first year and I am in love with this sport and can't wait to put together my race calander for next year and get better.

  • Comments: I look at these sprints as being for fun; Just a fitness test in anticipation of the 'A' race at the end of the year. From that perspective, I really had a good time. For a local series, I think the TriBlueSky folks do a really good job. I am considering doing enough of these to participate in the points race next year.

  • Comments: I really enjoyed the race. I do wish I knew more people and could add a social element to the events. While it did not go exactly as planned, I feel like it was a step forward. I learned some things and know what I need to work on for Tugaloo and HIM. Side note, I woke up the day after and felt great. I went for a nice long bike ride. Last race, I was hurting the next day. So, some endurance improvements are showing up.

  • Comments: I was not overly impressed by the race. I would challenge both the swim and bike distances. It was also a bit chaotic around transition where the course was still open. It was a small staging area for volunteers, specators and athletes. I was shocked there weren't any accidents. This doesn't go to say that I won't race it again next year.

  • Comments: Tri the parks always puts on great races. Very well organized with plenty of volunteers and water stations. I will definitely sign up for at least 4 of these next year. If I calculated it correctly, I placed 3rd over all females in the series rankings! YAY!

  • Comments: This was my FIRST triathlon. It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the competition and the variety of three sports. The swim was the most chaotic. Hard to stay focused and get a rhythm. Bike ride was the most fun. Bike ride is fast, scenic, and cool! The location was great. State parks are great locations. I will definitely do another race.

  • Comments: I am glad that I did the series. It was fun and nice to see the same people at the races each time. I will do them again next year...maybe not all of them, but I will do some if not most. It was a great motivator to win hardware...even though if I had raced in my age group, I would not have gotten awards as much...It is still nice to get an award.

  • Comments: Finishing this race and the tri the park series was trully a personal accomplishment -- 3 tris and 2 du. I think I had so much fun in this one because I needed to prove to myself that I can complete a challenge when faced with injuries. My state of mind was clam as it could be in all races so far. Hey, getting sleep before the race is a GOOD thing. I make sure i have some sleeping pills on hand and use it for future pre-race ritual. I can NEVER rest the night beofre the race which results in poor race judgements and weak race energy -- all produces nervous mental state. I attribute my smooth swim to my rested mind. So, peeps -- make sure you get some rest the night before the race!!! It makes a HUGE difference. This is the first time my overall time was good enough to beat 2 of my buddy's time -- and they are great triathletes. So that was a bonus and a bragging right for the moment. LOL.. This is surely an incentive to train harder and improve for next season. One more race next weekend

  • Comments: I didn't like the course because it was kind of hilly- I rpefer flat courses. But it was good for me to get out of my comfort zone and bike and run some hills. I need to do more of that. The bike course was very scenic- very pretty.

  • Comments: Tri the parks is a great series here in Ga. I highly recommend the series to anyone who can do one, some, or even all of the races. I'd like to see some better breakdown of times, such as bike pace, and event place # within age group. Website: http://www.tribluesky.com

  • Comments: I really have enjoyed all of the Tri the Parks races this year. It is always a good quality field of competition and well run races. It was also a blast to see all of the BTers after the race. I have pictures of Haley and Janelle to post later on.
