Swim
Comments: I did miss the wall 2 times on the flip turn under the rope - so graceful!! What would you do differently?: Nothing, I would have liked to be seeded faster, I started 89th and was the 58th fastest swimmer but I put in my REAL 100 yard time, others - not so much!! Transition 1
Comments: time in T1 was great, I was smooth and passed a lot of folks in transition, my bike mounting was crap and I need to work on that!! What would you do differently?: Work on a flying mount, I've resisted all this time but I'm really loosing time on my mount Bike
Comments: All in all a good bike for me, knocked a min. off my last years bike and last year I went balls to the wall since I was waiting around for 30 min. before the run to see Anna swim and do the run with her. I did feel like I was in a much more aggessive position on this bike and felt a little out of control at times. I would like to take this down under 50 min. next year. What would you do differently?: pushed a little harder on the flats, I really worked on the up and downhills but found myself getting comfortable on the flats a couple times Transition 2
Comments: It all went bad for me here, there were relay fools standing in the middle of the transistion area that I had to yell at (get the F*** out of my way!!!) and my beloved Zoots got stuck and I had trouble getting them on. Again, my dismount was an embarrasment and needs to be practiced!! What would you do differently?: Keep a calm head?! Run
Comments: Seriously!?!?!? I actually felt much faster this time than last weekend - I did spend a lot of energy cheering on every runner I passed but I wouldn't change that for a faster time!! Paul was 2 min. slow and my brother in law that can usually pull out an 18 min. run did almost a 21 min. run so either it was harder this year or course was a little long. Either way I need to HTFU and run more and faster in training!! What would you do differently?: Go faster?! Post race
Warm down: 2 1/2 hours wait for the awards ceremony!! What limited your ability to perform faster: My run fitness!! Event comments: Hands down the best staffed race I do all year. SO many volunteers that are so well trained. Can't say enough about what a great job the Angel's Foundation does with this race!! Last updated: 2009-04-07 12:00 AM
