Comments: First 5 miles flew by as I was pretty distracted by the crowds and such. First got hard at about mile 8. Small wall at mile 10. Better after mile 11. Post race
Warm down: Stretched for about 20 minutes. What limited your ability to perform faster: Limited training leading up to the race and the fact that I have a triathlon 7 days later so I didn't want to get hurt. Event comments: I'm pretty happy that I stuck with my pace and beat my goal by a minute. Good self control and a great first half experience! Last updated: 2009-04-14 12:00 AM

It was cold so I got there pretty early and just sat in the car to stay warm. Drank Gatorade and ate a banana/oatmeal/small bagel in the morning and had a Gu about 15 minutes before the start.
Just stretched for a little before hand and took it slow (9 minutes) for the first mile or so.
