What would you do differently?: Hang tighter to the bouy's. Transition 1
Comments: Could not get my feet on the shoes, lost right shoe from clips and had to go back for it! TERRIBLE TRANSITION! What would you do differently?: I need to practice T1 A LOT! Practice with shoes hooked and level with rubberbands. Bike
What would you do differently?: Need to practice hill climbing, but overall I felt pretty good. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Need to practice getting socks on. Train more for the run. Run
Comments: Cramped in my left calf pretty much through the first 2 miles and relaxed after that. Was able to stretch out from 2 mile marker in. Had to stop and stretch quickly between mile marker 1 & 2. What would you do differently?: Need to practice getting socks on. Train more for the run. Post race
Warm down: Stretch (alittle) and had a plate of food and bottle of water they gave us at the finish line. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to build a better base on running, practice my transitions more, and push myself harder on the bike. Event comments: Finished my first triathlon and had an incredible time doing it. I'm hooked. I can't compare this race to another one, but I truly loved it. Last updated: 2009-04-16 12:00 AM

Up at 4:10, breakfast was plain bagel toasted with PB, banana, water, cup of coffee. Had a powerbar 2 hours prior to race.
Stretched, biked the run course, and stretched some more.
