Swim
Comments: I managed to do freestyle almost the whole time and didn't freak out bumping up next to people, but my time still didn't improve. I have a lot of work to do on my swim before attempting an Oly. 267/388 50/67 What would you do differently?: Learn to draft, wear a wetsuit, start out more aggressively. Transition 1
Comments: Loved how easy my shoes were to put on with my Yankz laces. What would you do differently?: Not much. Maybe run a little faster through transition. Bike
Comments: The route was pretty flat and beautiful. I rode a borrowed bike from my SIL which was a heavy comfort bike with fenders that loved to catch the wind. So I was surprised I was able to move it as fast as I did. By far my fastest ride yet. And I did pretty well passing people. Garmin had 12.07 miles. 263/388 46/67 What would you do differently?: Use my own bike. Use clipless pedals. Transition 2
Comments: Quick transition. Ran throughout. What would you do differently?: Run faster. Run
Comments: Guess I pushed it a little hard on the bike. I didn't feel like I had much left for the run. Slower than the last tri. But I'm still pleased with how this tri went. 154/388 36/67 What would you do differently?: Don't push it on the bike quite so much. Get a lot more sleep the night before. Post race
Warm down: Drinking lots of fluids, and some stretching later. What limited your ability to perform faster: Bike, not enough sleep. Event comments: Lunch was not so great, swim was a little confusing as to where to go. Otherwise, really great race. Last updated: 2009-04-23 12:00 AM

Didn't get to bed until after 11:30pm. Got up at 4:45 am so I could test the bike I borrowed from Jenn since I hadn't gotten the change to ride it yet. Turns out we didn't notice it didn't have pedals until the night before. Ate toast, banana, chai tea, some water.
Essentially nothing. Maybe a little light stretching.
