Swim
  • 07m 19s
  • 500 yards
  • 01m 28s / 100 yards
Comments:

The course wasn't very good. You could run halfway to the first buoy - the water was shallow and it made for lots of people swimming on top of each other at the first turn. The distance kept people from really spreading out. That part of the course needs some work.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure. I never really settled into a rhythm because of all the bodies constantly banging into each other
Transition 1
  • 02m 8s
Comments:

Felt pretty good. cap stuck to head, but that wasn't so bad. Had about a 50 yd run from the beach to the transition area and you were kind of limited to the speed of whomever was in front of you, so that kind of made the swim long. The transiton area had everything going counter-clockwise, so I had some distance to run with my bike.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe pick a better location? Not sure what would help.
Bike
  • 1h 00m 46s
  • 19 miles
  • 18.76 mile/hr
Comments:

could have eaten more right away. I got a little tired towards the end of the bike, but I've been a little reluctant to eat anything because it makes me want to yak on the run.
What would you do differently?:

Eat earlier on the bike
Transition 2
  • 01m 12s
Comments:

Felt pretty good on T1 - had to run to the end to rack the bike and then back to the other end to head out.
Run
  • 28m 42s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 09m 14s  min/mile
Post race
Warm down:

stretch, water, accelerade

What limited your ability to perform faster:

was a bit tired

Event comments:

It was pretty good for a first time event. The theme was a little weird, but it was fun.
