Comments:

Didn't know what to expect. Wanted to PR from my 1.23.59 last year, in the back of my mind I thought i could push for a sub 1.20, but I never train that fast and I also had 110 miles of biking under my belt from Friday/Saturday, so a sub 1.20 would have been tough for me. Ran with Brian McWilliams and Kim Lasecki for about 10K, then I let them drift ahead and i was pushing 170 HR at that point, and needed to back off. Enjoyed the run, talked to people, and just enjoyed the day.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. It was exactly what I wanted. I trained hard the two days prior and still put in a good effort for the 1/2. I hope this better prepares me for the HIM and IMWI races in 2009!
Post race
Warm down:

Ran 6 miles backwards on the full Marathon course. Ran with Brad, Mike, Eric, Jason, Brian, Anna, Stuart, Jeff, Mike, Sara, and Monique. That was a lot of fun!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Biking the two days prior and pushing a heavy wheelbarrel up my parents hill with landscaping on Saturday. Good Hamstring workout though.

Event comments:

Taking it under 1.20 next year. PR by 3 minutes and 15 seconds, but I still dropped 3 places from last year, tough field.
