  • Comments: Love this race, we come every year. David did so awesome in his first full here, it will be a great memory. Volunteers are amazing and are everywhere. Post race party is always fun, but it was so cold and windy we just needed to get showered and warm. So glad they had choc milk right at the finish--that was just what I needed! Got the 3rd medal to complete the 'puzzle'. We'll be back again next year!

  • Comments: This is one of my favorite races ( I do it almost every year) as it is so flat. I was 5 min slower than the Madison Marathon this past fall (11/8/15) and that was a super hilly course, so I wonder if the lack of hills is actually a detriment as the same muscles get used the entire time. I did take 11 minutes off of last year's time, though. We had perfect weather--55 at start and 70s by finish, mild humidity. I would have liked more stations to hand out ice--they had it in coolers at almost all but only a few had it ready in cups to hand out (don't want to have to stop and wait). At mile 24 there was this awesome lady who had set up a table and had Ibuprofen, root beer, diet coke, chocolate, water, and who knows what else. The root beer was exactly what I needed to get through the last 2 miles as I didn't want another Gu--thank you nice lady!

  • Comments: Didn't make it this year. Family issues so I didn't want to leave Drew this weekend. Not sure if feet were ready for a full anyway. Yardwork has consumed all my free time so never did get in anything longer than a half mary...

  • Comments: We do this race every year and the weather is so unpredictable! Last year it was 50s with a monsoon wind and I froze! This year it was so hot they called it! Bummer that everyone either diverted to the half or came back on the shuttles, finish line was open and turns out they kept the aid stations up as well. Would have gone for it had I known. Sucked that all the food and beer was gone at the finish line as well.

  • Comments: Except for the course error, which is being handled really well.... this race is world class! The volunteers, staff and everyone who lines the course is amazing. The wall being down was not the race's fault but the wind. I am not sure I will ever run the full here again because it is so early season, but it is nice to know I have it in my backyard!!

  • Comments: I will do this race next year. I will not drink too much and I will finish sub-4. I hope to assist my wife in her attempt to BQ next year. 3:45 is very doable for her.

  • Comments: What a day. From the early January training runs to the race; it was perfect. Tanya ran her first marathon and even with all the pain is hooked. She is all ready planning her next. It looks like this will be my platform for IM Wisconsin. I honestly now believe I can do it. It will not be easy, but would I want it to be!!!!!! Boston, here I come.

  • Comments: This was my first marathon and it kicked my butt. I felt great until I hit the wall on mile 20 and then I wanted to die. I couldn't walk for a day after the race completed and I was sore for a week. I was determined to race this race in 2009 to do it better.

  • Comments: Green Bay did a great job supporting this race--plenty of volunteers and good traffic control and course marking. Sparse fans in many areas, but the ones that were out were great.

  • Comments: The whole event was put together so nicely. At the last 6 miles they had a band or some type of entertainment to help celebrate the wall and get everyone motivated to keep going. That was great. They had tons of volunteers all the intersections that we crossed were being controlled by a policeman. People were all over the course cheering for everyone. And you can't beat beer, brats and music at the finish line!
