Swim
Comments: The swim felt alot longer than 500 yards. Based on my ultimate time, I would guess the length was 700yrds? I felt I improved on my navigation - much less zigging and zagging. It took a while to get used to the taste of salt water! Transition 1
Comments: I had a tough time getting my wetsuit off and my cycling shirt on, otherwise OK. Bike
Comments: The bike course was fun. It was very well marked and manned. Transition 2
Comments: The bike rack was short, so it was challenging to get the bike back onto the rack. I had my running shoes opened wide so it was easy to slide my feet into them What would you do differently?: Remember to put my running bib on! Oops Run
Comments: The run felt short, and my pace would suggest that. I heard someone say that the run was only 2.8miles (payback for the swim?) I brough my water bottle with me and that worked out well. What would you do differently?: Bring a cheapo water bottle with me so that when I finish the water, I can just toss the bottle. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: I felt I paced myself very well and I wasn't trying to go 'all out' Event comments: This was really a good race. I would do it again. I was very impressed with the number of volunteers on the bike and run courses Last updated: 2005-07-31 12:00 AM
