Transition 1
Comments: I left my HR monitor in the transition area What would you do differently?: Remember the HR monitor Bike
Comments: I left my HR monitor in the transition area so I turned around to get it. As I ran back I tripped on a rock and I cut my leg up on my bike chain. Luckily my fiance was in the transition area so she could grab the watch and bring it out but I had to wait a couple minutes for her to get ready. Also, I had issues with my bike chain right at the mount line which wasted an additional 4 minutes. All in all I wasted about 7-8 minutes on a HR Monitor that I probably could have done without. I was playing catch up for the rest of the bike What would you do differently?: If I forget the monitor in there again I am not looking back Transition 2
Comments: T2 went much better than T1 as I already had my race number and HR monitor on Run
Comments: After playing catch up on the bike it took longer to get up to speed on the run and even then I was all drained from the bike fiasco Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: My own inability to remember a piece of equipment. I felt like I was catching up the rest of the race which caused me to ignore my original plan Event comments: I will definitly do this one again next year Last updated: 2009-05-11 12:00 AM
