Swim
Comments: Liked the floating start. Really felt good about swim til I saw my time, Sighted well and really got in good groove for most of course. Just confused about time but they all seemed high and alot of people were talking about the course being long do not know but felt really good about swim but it was slower than my first time, but if I can get out of the water like that every time I,ll take it. No air horn blown at me for getting off course so thats better. What would you do differently?: Felt good got in a groove and navigated well so I guess swim faster. Transition 1
Comments: Been working on transition and it helped need to get some velcro shoes, bike shoes have strings and it takes forever tying shoes, but did better What would you do differently?: get new shoes Bike
Comments: Big climb and then 5 miles of false flat which is my weakest area. I can take the climbing now but slow grades kill me, got passed by everyone on the way out. Really hammered on the way in and passed alot of people back but really blew myself up. What would you do differently?: Once again not be fat for the climbing. Transition 2
Comments: Again did better but need some quick tie shoe strings and my legs were toast. Run
Comments: Run sucked legs were blown up from trying to make up time for my terrible climbing skills. Right out of the gate there was a big hill and it just sucked the life out of me. passed alot of people walking but was also getting passed by alot. rolling hills the rest of the course but every little hill killed after that.I had really hoped to improve run time but ran as hard as I could which was verified when I blew chunks past the finish line. What would you do differently?: Pace on bike I guess Post race
Warm down: hung out with wife and kids ate a meal they provided really good barbecued chicken and the fixings listened to music at the finish area. What limited your ability to perform faster: blew up on bike just need to keep training and get better on bike and run/lose weight.
