  • Comments: I'm sorry, but I can't give this a race a 4 or higher which I'll get to in a moment. On positive side, this is a decent but challenging course. It really was just in my ability level and I didn't consider it too hard. Some beginners unprepared for the hills would think otherwise and you should prepare yourself for mostly the run course. Sure, the bike had a few climbs. But, one is rewarded with a really fast return segment on the bike. The fact that the bike and run courses are closed to traffic is a definite plus in my book as well. The race was organized for the most part and started on time. Lake Moomaw was a pleasure to swim in! The volunteers there were helpful and I thanked them when I could. So, if not for the following, I would've given this race a 4 and maybe a 4.5: - NO ONE was ensuring that racers only were in transition!   • Comments: I love Bath County, my favorite race. Beautiful venue, roads closed to traffic. I was 3rd overall masters, my best result ever. I had a really strong race.

  • Comments: overall well-run race, good post race spread for food (lunch bags with cookies, sandwiches, potato/fruit salad), awards ceremony was nice and lots of door prices one of my comments about the ppl doing body marking - several of my numbers were written under my suit so they were covered up...should remember to bring a marker to races and do my own possibly...

  • Comments: I love Bath County - it's a great race. I am proud of 2nd in my AG, but lost by only 26 seconds. I gave away 28 seconds in transitions to my AG winner - that is very frustrating. I need to buy tri shoes and practice my transitions. I usually blow off transition practice, but it may have cost me an AG victory.

  • Comments: Everything about this race was great except my performance, and that is all on me. Even though I trained very hard was was not as prepared as i could have been. I strongly reccomend this race, but not to first timers, unless they have a lot of OWS practice in.

  • Comments: I love Bath County. Overall, this was my best sprint. Very happy with swim and bike. I left some time on the course in the run, due to some poor decisions on my part.

  • Comments: This is a fun race in a beautiful setting, but it is very challenging. The hills throughout the course really take their toll. I'd do this one again, no doubt about it.

  • Comments: They need to change "rolling" hills to "steep" hills in the race info at setup events. Very misleading to people who weren't expecting it.

  • Comments: Not having the results up within 24 hours of the race completely sucks. I am far-sighted, so I couldn't read the tiny posted results at the race. Now I'm just hoping they get the results up soon so I can know my times.

  • Comments: race was well-organized, well marked, good support. food was so-so. as Hope pointed out, no port-o-potties in the transition area was not cool. (there were bathrooms a few hundred yards from the transition area.) plus they are being really slow this time on getting results posted. usually set-up does a good job with getting results up fast. :(
