Swim
Comments: I felt good about my swim. I was worried about being the guy everyone talks about clogging the lane. I was passed once right off. After that I did not get passed and passed a couple of folks myself. What would you do differently?: Nothing besides take a swim class Transition 1
Bike
Comments: I had a flat between miles 4 ans 5. I sat on the side of the road for a long time since I broke my CO2 cracker. I had a ton of people ask if I was ok and I kept saying yes. I should have sucked it up and asked for help but I figured I was done for the day. The repair truck came and helped me change the flat and I finished up. What would you do differently?: Learn to change a flat (which I have done two times since the race), learn how to use the CO2 cracker, ask for help earlier, have a hand pump, etc. I learned more than I ever figured I'd need in the time on the side of the road. Transition 2
Run
Comments: After the bike portion I was spent. I tried to do double time after the flat tire. I realize I am still way out of shape. What would you do differently?: Train more Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Flat tire and begin new to the world of triathlons Event comments: I had a blast. I could not believe how nice everyone was. The repair guys and the Team Magic folks were great. The offical results show me 219/219 but 366 people racing. I do not know if 147 DNF (I hope not). I've got no where to go but up.
