Swim
Comments: Could easily be the worst swim time of my life. Didn't feel this slow, in fact I passed tons of people. Obvious from the time I have't been in the pool in a month... stupid cast... stupid shoulder. What would you do differently?: Not get hit by a car a month ago. Stupid bitch! That's the last swim I spot anybody, you hear that you other 220 ahead of me. I coming for you next year. Transition 1
Comments: Start was uphill had trouble getting going with cleats wet, even in low gear. Bike
Comments: Felt really good on the bike, legs felt strong, never felt tired, hills were slow but since I hadn't ridden or seen the course ahead of time I was afraid of attacking them and burning out. Next year I will blast up them all. The downhills were sweet, nice high of 38 mph. Sucks that there were 2 90 degree turns, but cornering will only get better w/o cast and w/ more experience. Felt finished strong and that I hadn't pushed it hard enough on the bike. What would you do differently?: Cornering practive at high speeds. Attack hills early and often Transition 2
Comments: Putting on my sneakers was an eternity. What would you do differently?: Buy some speed laces for sprints (I don't like them for regular training because I always lace my shoes to stay loose low and tight at the ankle) Run
Comments: Always been a slow and steady runner, regardless of distance. What would you do differently?: Need to work on running fast for short distances, instead of always running all distances at a 10 min/mile. Also, some more bricks would probably help. Post race
Warm down: None What limited your ability to perform faster: Stupid wrist and shoulder. Event comments: Great small town race. I felt pretty good about my performance until I saw my swim split and age group place this morning. Till next year. Last updated: 2005-08-08 12:00 AM
