Comments: Need. To. Swim. Better. I spent a lot of time pausing for breath. I think I could improve 3-4 minutes if I could touch-and-go off the wall. Transition 1
Comments: I didn't move very quickly from the pool to the bike. My shirt went on easily, but I tore my race bib losing extra time as I pinned it back on. What would you do differently?: Get (or make) a race belt. Socks?? Bike
Comments: I felt that I held back a bit, saving some for the run. Not a bad bike. Passed a lot of people. What would you do differently?: If I increase my average speed to 18.9 MPH, I can reclaim 1 minute in 12 miles. Transition 2

Comments: Came in slightly under my expected time on the run, but I now feel that I could have pushed harder What would you do differently?: Use the first mile to adapt to the run and get the heart rate right. Second mile step up to a faster pace. Third mile maintain or increase pace slightly. Last .2 - PUSH IT! My pace was 9.27 (6.47 MPH). An increase to 8.96 (6.7 MPH) - which I have seen during trainig - would capture another minute. Post race
Event comments: Overall I want to achieve a sub 80 minute tri. I am convinced I can recapture 1 minute from the bike, 1 minute from the run, and 1 minute from transitions (total). If I can then get 3-4 minutes from the swim - I'm there. Last updated: 2009-05-31 12:00 AM
