Swim
Comments: Tough to see first bouy, sun was in line with it, hard to see other swimmers unless I was right on them or sighting. Water hard to see in, felt pretty good through whole swim, not nervous. felt great getting out of the water. What would you do differently?: maybe start out a little harder, swim a little harder, need to work on getting faster Transition 1
Comments: I need to figure out how to get faster in transition, don't talk to anyone, just get it done and out. What would you do differently?: I bike in my running shoes currently, will probably switch to bike shoes next year, so will have to figure out that. If biking in run shoes next year, maybe train without socks? Bike
Comments: I felt pretty good on the bike, I think I could have pushed a little harder. As soon as I dismounted from the bike, both calves and my right shin cramped up, I was able to mostly walk/run them off getting back to T2, but was pretty stiff starting my run. What would you do differently?: I need to get more miles on the bike, I want to get up in the 19 mph range. Transition 2
Comments: I had trouble racking bike, I didn't have to change shoes, just off with the helmet, on with the visor, and go. What would you do differently?: Rack handle bars first, instead of trying to rack by my seat next time. Run
Comments: I had bad legs starting off the bike, cramped and then just stiff and sluggish, finally convinced them (the legs) that we were almost done and they started cooperating. Had terrible stitch problem entire run portion. Can't drink on the run, end up coughing and gagging. I poured more over my head than I drank. Hot, hot run. What would you do differently?: Have to figure out why I continue to get stitch. Probably need to find a way to hydrate more. Must do more miles and bricks. Post race
Warm down: No warm down, waited at the finish line for the rest of my teammates to cross What limited your ability to perform faster: Side stitch problem really hinders my ability to run faster. Have to figure that out, and since I just learned to swim in April/May, I was really happy about my swim time. Event comments: Overall great experience for first triathlon, left me hungry for more. Well organized race with great volunteers. Last updated: 2009-06-03 12:00 AM

Ate a bagel and half a small bottle of gatorade, 1 cup of coffee before I left the hotel, ate a bannana while waiting for my race, and drank a little water
Set up transition, and walked all of the start and finishes.
