Not a great swim. I couldn't see the buoys very well so I was sighting too much. Lots of people said they thought the course was long but I don't want to make any excuses.

Main goal was to run the entire time which I did. It was a trail run which I'm not used to so I was so paranoid that I'd twist my ankle. The last hill was towards the finish and I had a great friend right there to push me up the hill. She definitely helped me get my time goal. I did run with no socks and could feel some nasty blisters forming.

Event comments:

Danskin was one of my first tris and it holds a special place in my heart. My first Danskin was in 2001 which I did in 1:52 then again in 2006 in 1:46 so I took off 17 minutes which I'm very proud of and I was 10th in my age group!
