In my opinion, a pretty lame race. The swim was canceled because of the rain (understandable) and replaced with a run. The race started 20 minutes late. I can't understand why, in one of the nicest parts of Long Island, the run has to be mostly around a parking lot. No mile markers at all on the run. All of the three water stations were bunched together in the first third of the course (or so, hard to tell for sure because of the lack of mile markers), then nothing. The bike road conditions were poor. Again, the area is very pretty but the bike course takes you through pot hole ridden office park/industrial streets. Post-race just a crowd of people, no real event feel. Boxes of bagels and bananas, grab one and have a nice day. Didn't seem very organized or well run compared to other races I've attended or participated in. There are better races to do on Long Island. I'll just skip this one from now on.
