Swim
Comments: I ran in an dove, but my HR chest strap was pushed down and I had to readjust it. I got halfway to the bouy and was 10 yards ahead of everyone else in the wave. I caught many other waves and just plowed through to the exit. I felt very comfortable in this portion, even in dealing with wave traffic. What would you do differently?: Nothing at this distance, wetsuit for longer distances Transition 1
Comments: Had to pause a second to find my bike, but helmet and sunglasses went on and I was off What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: My quads felt tight for the first half, but they losened up in time for the run. Had a nice downhill to get out of the shoes without losing speed. What would you do differently?: Probably more warmup or stretching Transition 2
Comments: smooth as can be! Hopped off of the bike and didn't miss a beat all the way through transition! What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: My bursitis started to bug me towards the high school, but then the pain went away on the descent. What would you do differently?: Run Faster Post race
Warm down: stretching and walking What limited your ability to perform faster: My running abilities. My weight. Event comments: Kinda crowded at times, but not bad at all. Last updated: 2009-06-09 12:00 AM

Wake up, drop duece, and have me a yummy yummy PB & J with nanners. I have always liked getting to transition very early to get setup and give myself plenty of time to chit chat before warmup time. Find friends, encourage others, etc...
I like to find a nice quiet piece of pavement or grass to do some stretching. Then go for a 5 minute jog to get things loosened up. Then off to the water to swim at least a couple hundred yards.
