Pre-race routine:

First tri so no real routine. Breakfast was w/w english muffin w/ peanuit butter. Left my coffe on the kitchen counter!

walk around and got great T location, second rack from the exit/entrace next to the grass (room to spread out)

This being my first long o/w swim I was not sure what to expect.
What would you do differently?:

More o/w prep and distance. If it would not have been for the shallow spots, I would have been slower.

Swim w/ jersey under wetsuit.

run more during this segment. I gave in too much ansd walked more than I would have liked, I should have pushed harder.

Warm down:

walked around w/ my boys and wife. Got soemthing to eat and drink.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

First race, first tri. The unknown.

Event comments:

I set a 3:05 for my goal. Since this was my first event, I did not know what to expect or how it would go. Need to walk harder in training and push myself. But overall, I am pretty damn proud - I did it!
