  • 437 yards
  • 02m / 100 yards
Comments:

started out real smooth, had a good first 100m up til the first buoy, got jammed up there started running into people and water started getting real choppy, water hitting my face and had hard time staying in a rythym after that. basically my swim needs work....
What would you do differently?:

swim til the very end, i got up and started walking the last 20 meters, would of been faster to keep swiming
Transition 1
  • 01m 12s
What would you do differently?:

soild t1, if i knew how to mount with my shoes cliped in already would of saved some time (bout 10 sec) but overall a soild t1
Bike
  • 28m 15s
  • 11 miles
  • 23.36 mile/hr
Comments:

flat and fast, almost took a wrong turn, had to basically slow all the way down and make a u turn, i was soooo mad i did this, cost me about 15 sec probley. i came out of my shoes prior to dismount for the first time today but stood off to side about 25 yards to early and had to mount back on and pedal a few more times to get there.... total noob mistakes that probley cost me 30 sec on my bike split.
What would you do differently?:

not be a noob and make stupid mistakes
Transition 2
  • 00m 38s
Comments:

great t2, went sockless for the first time in a race, was trying my best to make up for my mistakes on the bike. felt ok, but wouldnt do it for anthing longer then that run. also thought i grabed a water cup comming out of t2 to splash on my FACE, AND IT WAS GADORADE, right in my eyes, yes it burned and got up my nose.... totally not cool
What would you do differently?:

not throw gadorade in my face
Run
  • 13m 14s
  • 2 miles
  • 06m 37s  min/mile
Comments:

did not have the kick in my legs most of this run, i wanted to balls to the wall this 2mi but i didnt have it in me, didnt start to settle my breathing and cadience until the turn, i did my best to put it in gear and pass the one guy in my AG that i saw. we actually started the run together and he had about 30-40 meters on me by the turn, i caught him by the aid station with about 1/2mi to go and left him there.
What would you do differently?:

not look back so much, after i had him beat and looked back about 3 maybe 4 times to make sure he wasnt gaining on me. next time i dont look back until final 100m sprint.
Post race
