Run
Comments: Went very well, very even pace the entire way, much better than last half-marathon in May. Legs felt good the entire time, slight twinge in hip with about a mile to go but not very noticable. Nice to have a running partner for this race What would you do differently?: Probably could have picked up pace a little but I wanted some reserve just in case Post race
Warm down: Ate alot of the food they gave us (maybe too much), tried to hide from the wind next to Red Gym (good luck with that), had a beer, went to the car to stay warm, to the showers and out to an early lunch What limited your ability to perform faster: Mental challenge of feeling 10 minute pace would be too fast for this distance since my marathon training pace has been about 11.5 minute miles since July. Turns out this wasn't so bad. Event comments: This was a great race, well organized and fun. If I do another half in the next couple years, I would pick this one over the Madison half. Drive to Madison, get an AWESOME parking spot behind Science Hall
Spent a little time in the Union until about 10 minutes prior, then lined up. Too cold outside. Stretched a little. Tried to stay warm in the masses until race start.
