Swim
Comments: The swim was cut in half to a quarter mile, being a strong swimmer, that cut my advantage in half! The way out to the first buoy was brutal, I felt like I was body surfing into shore though. Overall I felt good on the swim, I spent a lot of time weaving around people in the first 200 yards. What would you do differently?: Swim straighter! Transition 1
Comments: Wow, that was slow. It took forever to put on my shirt and I ran the wrong way around the bike corral forgetting where the exit was. My nerves got the best of me. What would you do differently?: Cut a minute off of my transition! Bike
Comments: Brutal Headwind on the way out to Mayer. Amazing tailwind back on highway 7. Overall I was a little slow on the hills, but I still made a personal best bike average. Transition 2
Comments: Forgot to take my helmet off and my number had to be repinned to my shirt after getting ripped off by wind on the bike. What would you do differently?: Take off my helmet! Where a number holder for the run and ditch it on the bike. Run
Comments: Brutal first mile, mediocre middle 2, great last mile. Blisters slowed me down. What would you do differently?: Wear socks. I had bad blisters by the end of the first mile. Post race
Warm down: Watch my friends come in while I stretched and walked. What limited your ability to perform faster: Wind, Blisters, Slow Transitions Event comments: I won the Zipp 808's at the end, so I can't complain! Overall this was a good race for me, it was my second time at Waconia, third overall triathlon, and I loved it. Last updated: 2009-07-01 12:00 AM

Peanut butter english muffin, banana, and a granola bar for breakast. Audioslave a little too loud for the drive to the race. Pre-race ribbing of my friends also in the race.
15 minutes of stretching, light jog, and a few freestyle strokes into the whitecaps.
