  • Comments: No gel after a transition. But gatorade at every mile on the run. It was long for me, but a good race. Need to train more hills!

  • Comments: This is a well run race where all the fast people in the region race. It's a little short for my abilities, but a fun race.

  • Comments: This was a fun race. I dont like sprints, because of lack of top end speed. I will look into doing this race in the future, if it fits in the calendar.

  • Comments: Loved the venue, small size, the TT swim start. Lots of volunteers who were knowledgable. But they were a little short on the food--by awards ceremony time there were just chips, water, and granola bars. I grabbed some fruit before it was gone. I don't like hot dogs, but even those were gone--no veggie alternatives. Ran out of small shirts--ridiculous since I put that down when I registered in December!! Would have mailed me a small but since the shirt was pretty ugly (the volunteer shirts were nicer red color, ours were tan) I figured I probably would only be wearing it to the lake. No finisher medals. Short on the swag and food when it was not a cheap race at $60 even in Dec. probably cost more later when others registered. But the course and venue are really nice and for that I'd do it again.

  • Comments: Nice, challenging course, plenty of room in transition, and family friendly. One complaint; it'd be nice to have a visual, or the anouncer talking about where they are in the start order, but I'll own my part in missing my spot. I'll do this one again, its fun to see the people shooting for the BOTUS spots.

  • Comments: I won the Zipp 808's at the end, so I can't complain! Overall this was a good race for me, it was my second time at Waconia, third overall triathlon, and I loved it.

  • Comments: Event was a bit late due to change in swim course forcing us to wait for the elites to almost finish thw swim before we could get going. Well run otherwise, and probably a good decision to shorten the swim as water conditions were tough. I did something I have never done before since I started running at age 12 - I forgot to start my watch at the starting line! DOH!
