Comments: Hate taking wetsuit off- wonder if it really helps my overall time in the water enough to wear it. Bike

Post race
Warm down: Bottle of Water, then moved on to my free Beer. Event comments: Maybe because I just did Hy-Vee and it was top notch, but I did not think much of this race. Expo was poorly run- long lines and I had to wait in 3 to get my packet, chip, and t-shirt. Very little info about race set-up. I did not know it was a TT swim start until the 3rd AG wave went off and I noticed I did not hear a horn any more. They kicked us out of transition 15 minutes prior to when I was told it would close before the race. Bike course was very tight and roads were a little rough. Run course was VERY tight for the number of people (running path around the lake). I (and others I noticed) missed the turn off for lap 2 (for the long course) and had to do a quick turn around to get on the correct path. The person telling you to go left was after the left turn. Overall, I was not very fond of this race and am pretty sure I will not be doing it again. Last updated: 2009-07-12 12:00 AM
