Overall Rank = 259/428
Age Group = 35-39
Age Group Rank = 64/107
Pre-race routine:

Got up and ate my yogurt with strawberrys and granola. Drank a cup of coffee and drove to the race. Realized I only had 15 minutes to get my bike set-up. Had a brain fart on what time transition opened and closed.
Event warmup:

running around trying to get my bike set-up, number drawn on and get my timing chip, before I was locked out of transition
Swim
  • 42m 33s
  • 1800 meters
  • 02m 22s / 100 meters
Comments:

Another bad swim. I really need to train in my swim more.
What would you do differently?:

Swim training
Transition 1
  • 01m 43s
Comments:

decent transition, but my bike got all tangled up with another bike and I had to fight to get it loose. Went without socks for the first time.
What would you do differently?:

Get to tranisition early enough to get myself set up better.
Bike
  • 74m 47s
  • 24.6 miles
  • 19.74 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt good on the bike, although I really need to figure out my water and food intake. I ahven't really spent much time on that, but it really affects me on these olympic races.
What would you do differently?:

not much
Transition 2
  • 02m 5s
Comments:

spent to much time here trying ot get the grass off of my feet and socks on. Still ended up with some grass that caused a blister.
What would you do differently?:

I should start training with no socks on, to get my feet used to that I guess.
Run
  • 56m 15s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 09m 04s  min/mile
Comments:

My goal was to not stop running. I ended up walking once going by a water station, but other than that just tried to keep moving along, although I don't think I really ran the stairs either.
What would you do differently?:

I need to figure out my nutrition intake for this distance. I don't really know if I am taking in to much or to little of anything. Although it always seems like I have a belly ache by the time I am half way through the run.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of swim training/conditioining

Event comments:

Very good event. Lots of food after the race, great volunteers at the drink stations.
