Comments: Don't know why, but felt heavy all the way. The fact that I didn't have my heart rate monitor, put me on a very strange territory. I normally don't go running around the block without it. My whole plan whas based on heart rate. Had to improvise and that didn't go to well. I went to pace and I hate that. I wanted to brake 2 hours and felt short by 7 seconds. Last 3 miles where exhausting. Felt undertrained. In general, GREAT EXPERIENCE, learned A TON and want to do this race again, hopefully next year. What would you do differently?: BRING MY HEART MONITOR. Train better, more consciously for a race of that magnitud, I think that I understimated it! 13.1 miles deserve a lot of respect! Post race
Warm down: Drunk water and cytomax like a sponge. Meet the family on the beach and crased on the sand. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not optimal training, lack of heart monitor Event comments: Awesome race!!! Highly recommended. I hope I can do it again!
