Considering the course, I thought I did really well. I only remember getting passed by 2 people in my age group, the others that finished before me obviously swam faster. I did pass a lot of people and that was fun.

I think I could have ran faster, but I felt pretty comfortable and this was a good motivation pusher to go into the last two races. We had goats cheering us on, that was pretty cool.
What would you do differently?:

Push myself a little harder.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Mental, just didn't push myself quite hard enough.

Event comments:

You take away the crappy road conditions and this is a great race.

Course: Swam around the island at the Texas Ski Ranch, course was super crowded and had to fight the entire way. I think a crawfish bit my toe at the beginning. The water quality was actually a little better than I expected, still not great but better than I thought.
