  • Comments: A great smaller race..another well run event by High Five events. Bettered my time over the same course by more than 12min! so my workouts seem to be working. Feeling really good about my performance.

  • Comments: High Five Events usually puts on great races, I just really dislike the water at the Texas Ski Ranch, but I hear they are moving the race next year to Pflugerville, so that will be nicer.

  • Comments: My [i]only[/i] problem with the High Five events out at the Texas Ski Ranch (The Rookie and this race) is the mediocre post race meal. They have beer (good), lots of different snacks (good), plenty of sodas and cold water (good), but crappy Costco/Sams frozen burgers as the main course. I don't even bother with them anymore. Other than that very minor gripe, they do great work.

  • Comments: Great race once again put on by J&A. Definately appreciated the cloud cover, expect Jack to find a way to get that back for next year. Mentioned that to him, and he told me it would probably be 110 degrees next year. LOL.

  • Comments: J & A still continue to put on the best events EVER! I get spoiled with them and expect the same from other race organizers, but nothing has lived up to theirs yet. How do you beat ice cream, hamburgers, massages, beer, plenty of water and other drinks, all kinds of fruits...not to mention the events always run on time and there are more than enough volunteers all over the course to make sure the racers are safe and well hydrated! This is a great race and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks to all the volunteers and hard work to make this race a success!

  • Comments: The only thing that would have made the race better would be not having the heat. The whole event was pretty much clearing out before noon, it was just too damn hot. There was not alot of shade for the post-race and the sun was just beating us down.

  • Comments: Jack and Adam's puts on a GREAT Race! Tons of volunteers everywhere, events right on time, announcer the whole time, GREAT after-race food and events--truly high class race and if I can do it again, I will. For schwag everyone got a t-shirt, a running hat, and 1-lb of that coffee that I got more of for winning. The only bad thing is the water you swim in, but it's a sprint...you can live with it. Had a great time today--my first USAT AG win! I hope there are more! Saw jkron grab 3rd place hardware--we both were sporting our BT shirts on the podium--not just T3 and Texas Iron place in races here! The race gave me lots of confidence and further convinces me that I need to shape up in some personal discipline areas (i.e. really truly slim down back to where I was after deployment/during the marathon) and I will be faster. My bike training is definitely paying off and I am so glad I love the bike. So I love the bike, I love the run, and I tolerate the swim--not slow, but not first

  • Comments: Only been to 1 other try and 1 du before this, but this one was way better than both. Lots of good food, beer, music, and festivities. Will definitely try to do this one again. Racing with 800+ people was a new challenge for me but a good experience. My other races were much smaller.

  • Comments: I love the Jack and Adams races and I'm glad I did this. I love this venue and they always have a great race. My major concern was giving up a long ride day Saturday and long run day Sunday to do this race. My AA race is Cancun and this may not have helped it but I guess I have to realize I do this for fun.... And it's always fun ending up on the podium.
